Not recognizing a Beatle is like waking up in the morning, looking in the mirror and not having a clue you are looking at yourself. The thing I really do not understand is that when all these people were coming up to George to ask for his autograph, were they whispering in his ear? Some one had to say Mr. Harrison, could I have your autograph.

thearchives: I don't doubt some people may not have recognized him. I saw a clip of him, must have been right before he got really sick. He was at some car convention or something like that. Some very alert person spotted him. He was dressed "really low key" wearing what I would describe as "bland old man cloths" and a hat....looked almost like a droopy versipn of a fishing hat.

That's alright, I guess, not recognizing him. It couldn't be any worse than being a fan of Goerge Harrison's and NOT KNOWING HE WAS ONCE A MEMEBER OF THE BEATLES! That was me in 1987 and not being able to put two and two together when I discovered the Beatles in 1995.

Yeah, a cave called the 1990's. Even though it's a shame, there are plenty of young people who wouldn't recognize and aged Beatle (or a young Beatle for that matter). Cut the girl some slack.

Heehee! Not a cave at all. Just didn't watch TV or read magazines from the time I was a child. The pictures were too skewed, especially the vision TV and magazines had of women. It's great we have all this footage of George now on YouTube. Love it!!!!
