Why do we need iodized salt? What is the relationship between mental retardation and iodized salt? Are we getting enough iodized salt?

  • Just like they are trying to reduce salt use, they have already reduced Iodine in our diets. Taken it out of breads and replaced it with a known toxin, leaving Iodized Salt as the only source. No one knows for sure if Iodized Salt is in processed foods. Truth is, that just like the fact that we need more UNPROCESSED salt, we need more Iodine. The RDA is 0.15 mg while the coastal Japanese eat on average 13.8 mg, and as much as 100 mg. 0.15 mg is enough for goiter but not Thyroid problems

  • does iodized salt has to change color ? i have a salt that says Iodized salt but it doesn't change color when added lime

  • Hi,

I just found out about Iodized salt, and have commenced using it. How much can I use per day. I'm using just a sprinkling over my meals is that enough?

I don't want to become a thyroid victim
