Bearspaw Christian School is pleased to provide this program, in partnership with the Chinese Evangelical Lutheran Church. This program is unique to Calgary because it provides a Christian component and provides activity-based learning. In this program, students will gain a global vision and sensitivity to foreign culture, enhanced Chinese language competency, comprehension of Chinese culture, and a lifelong interest in learning Chinese.

In the future, in addition to providing structured language classes, cultural classes (drawing, calligraphy, dancing, chess, etc.) may be offered to broaden students' awareness of the Chinese culture, history and art. Workshops and activities may also be offered for parents.

PLEASE NOTE: This program will not be offered as part of, or interfere with, our regular curriculum. Instead, this program is an add-on and will be offered during non-school hours to BCS and non-BCS students on Saturdays from 9:00 AM -- 4:00 PM. If there is sufficient demand, an evening program may also be added at a later date.
