BARBARO TRIBUTE-RUN FOR THE ROSES-AKB

This is a tribute to Barbaro and his remarkable spirit and talent. I made the video last year after his injury. It is with sadness that I post it now in his memory. Also featured are pics other legendary horses -- who continue to live in the memories of horseracing fans all over the world. Now, Barbaro runs free with them.

I don't get why Man O War and Ruffian are in this video. Neither made a "Run For The Roses".

This is a tribue to all of my favorite race horses, with a special dedication to Barbaro. Ruffian was a beautiful and very courageous horse and that is why she is included. Same with Man O' War who was an amazing animal.

very touching video! I closely followed Barbaro's story, and such a tragedy he had to be put down (he loved to run and his heart and spirit would have been broken if he had not been able to run again); I can only pray that he and all of the others are now 'running for the roses' in heaven..

this song is very special to me. my dad died in '95. we had race horses, so we dedicated this song with videos of his horses. rip barbaro and dad!

this song makes u rember all the great racers of the thoroughbred world..like seattle slew, whiralaway and no one can for get the 1st ever horse to win the triple crown Sir Barton.

Such a beautiful horse. What a Champion. Gives me a lump in the throat and teary eyes whenever I think of how amazing Barbaro was. Like Seabiscuit, Barbaro brought a troubled nation together at a time we needed it the most.

Run for the Roses has always been one of my favorite songs and I just sobbed as I watched this video.I love Barbaro and it pains me to tears every time I see the footage.However,this was very nicely done and who knows,maybe Dan was ahead of his time when he wrote this song..for Barbaro.I pray that they are both at peace in pastures of green.

Was at The preakness When he broke thru the gate he was a 100 yards from where I was standing.

When he broke thru the gate the crowd went nuts cheering.
