The idea about posture is that you should just have enough bent or flexion of the hips and knees to encourage a goof hip turn through in the downswing where the right knee is pointing towards the ball of the left foot. Slightly more weight on the balls of the feet than on the heels automatically gives you the correct proportion of the hip and knee flexion. Good posture plus proper ball distancing give you a better chance of having good ball contact.
