Godzilla Destroys Super-Fly Comics & Games

Hey there, Fly aficionados! Boy do we have an interesting offer here! In this month's Previews catalog IDW has a new Godzilla series written by Eric Powell & they have quite the incentive deal going on.

Here's the deal: *if* we participate, we will receive an unholy number of this issue *but* instead of the normal 50/50 split covers we'd normally receive, we'd instead get a special variant cover dedicated *exclusively* to Super-Fly Comics featuring GODZILLA HIMSELF CRUSHING THE STORE!!!! How exciting is that? I know I know, I had to change my britches when I found out about this too - don't be ashamed, you're in good company.

ANYWAY, what it comes down to is that the buy-in for this is larger by far than any incentive deal we've ever participated in (but its just SO COOL!). As such, we need to find out if people are interested in picking up copies of this extra-cool variant. If we can pool together enough preorders, we can make this happen (and then YOU get to be a permanent part of comics history by helping make this happen). That said, we're encouraging folks to purchase multiple copies of the issue. If we can get 30 people to commit to 10 copies each (or 60 for 5/ea - or really any combination thereof), then we're a definite go; less than that and probably not. With that in mind, we're offering our own incentives: if you commit to 10 copies (at cover price of $3.99 mind you - file customer and student/military discounts still apply) then you'll also receive FREE the 1:10 Eric Powell variant cover (normally $14.99). If you put down for 50, you'll get the 1:50 HAND-DRAWN ERIC POWELL SKETCH VARIANT FREE, plus five copies of the 1:10 (and of course permanent bragging rights).

BUT REMEMBER, if we can't pull together enough commitment from our customers this won't happen. Also, it's not that hard to get the legit Godzilla roar. It's my ringtone. C'mon guys, I love ya, but I know what Godzilla sounds like. Tsk. I demand perfection. It's a Robinson thing. You know what I'm talkin about.

Using the proper roar is like...historical accuracy. The rest is just carrying on a long tradition of relatively poor production quality!
