Hopefully, Whestcher would find time to take up the story of US trooper David Fagen, a Cuban war veteran, and his fellow American soldiers who defected in 1899 to join the Filipino resistance against US occupation. Fagen eventually became a captain in the Katipunan, the local army of resistance.

During the Filipino American War, the United States violated every provision of the Geneva Convention (Which did not exist at that time), Human Rights Concept, etc. I sometimes come to think that the Filipino American war was the reason why the US lost its appetite for acquiring colonies. It's understandable back then or even now why the Philippines would want to be an independent state. Things may be shitty, but at least we could change it and charter our own DESTINY!!!!
