This is the view from my old Spridget #909. The Spridget is a somewhat tired little warhorse (60+ weekends of racing).
At this point, the engine makes mostly wheezing and farting noises so I have chosen to hide the push-rod cachophany with generic music that is in the public domain. I could only get past 5500 rpm if I noodled the throttle about half-way down. Full throttle it was slower (but with more noise and farting sounds).
As I discovered, the car was running super-lean, probably because of all that gelatinous mung in the float bowl. The plugs came out snow-white. I wonder what the pistons look like? (I wonder if they make high-temp JB Weld?).
I had an excellent time chasing Pete McManus in the Ardent Alligator (Great Rooster Tails!).
And apparently, my cheap ($100) soild state "Flip" video camera is waterproof (at least, so far).
