I DON'T OWN THIS.

This is the opening theme to the Thundercats reboot, airing only on Cartoon Network. Not as long or lyrical as the original, but it has the most important part epically orchestrated, so I like it.

  • I probably suspect one of the reasons for a short intro than your usual standard 30 seconds is because younger generations nowadays are more prone to ADHD given the today's world's technology and culture.

  • @KuDastardly While that's entirely possible, you forget that many modern shows such as this one have far deeper character and plot development than their 80s counterparts, which would require more attention rather than less; the most likely reason for such a short intro is simply that CN wants more show time between commercials, or vice versa.

  • @BalladOfGales

Actually, the balancing decisions between showtime and commercial was secondary to my guess, though most likely that is sometimes usually the case. Say, when is episode 9 coming out? I'm almost losing the memory of its flavor.

  • @KuDastardly October 28th is when episode 9 comes out.

  • i dont blame them for not making a new opening for the 2011 series, i mean cmon, u just cant come out with something as epic (or better) as TEH ONE from the 80's

  • The job of the opening is to tell the audience "HEY, sit down and watch the awesomeness unfold!" As long as it gets the audience hipped it shouldn't matter how long it is. eleven seconds is perfectly fine. Besides, makes the actual episode that much longer.

  • @SoulReaverForever I really don't see what's so lazy about cutting short a clip that would be reused the entire show and instead have longer episodes. Also, are you saying that the only reason you wached Thundercats was for the opening?

  • This show looks amazing, but it lacks the epic intro theme that my childhood version had.

  • It's completely lazy to produce an extra minute of episode for *each* episode rather than pad your episode with an extra minute of opening filler than you produce *once*. (Isn't angry fan logic silly?)

  • LAZY! that's just lazy the reason people liked to get up in the saturday morning was of the cool intro common 30 secound could have ben a blast. LAZY!

  • Either that, or the people responsible for this were just lazy.

  • i notice that they're making the opening to shows these days shorter so they have more time for the show

  • I don't care who you are I think this series is good but the opening is WAAAAY to short

  • @thespiritmage 11 seconds of fail.
