Yes you can. You can record in Nitrotrack through the Mic, or you can use samples somehow by putting them on your flashcard. I only know how to record into the mic with Nitrotracker.
Yes you can change the bpm, but you can't record it into the tracker, you can only choose a bpm to start with and the song has it. But you can kind of change it in real time if you're performing.
You can't record audio ONTO the DS/cartridge, but the microphone does strike me as unused potential. If you mean outputting audio then yes; through the headphone jack into whatever, but of course it's not midi or anything.
