Excellent movie and the music rocks! From the present most can't tell what are the good movies from the past. But, this was one of them. Different idea played out to it's conclusions.

I wonder how MST 3K missed this classic? Robert Lansing and Steve McQueen look like they could be related.FYI just for fun ,Next time you watch this movie count how many cigarettes Lansing smokes through out this picture.. Patty Duke is also in this movie.

GREAT tribute to both the movie and the song BTW. Johnny Ramone was big fan of Fifties sci-fi and he would have loved it.

Steve McQueen was considered for the lead, but as much as I love McQueen, Lansing was perfect, absolutely superb. It may be the best performance in a Fifties science fiction film.
