the lighting is too short. only in the middle... not good for heavy aquascaper.

The lenses on the LED lights spread the light around pretty well. But what ever is in the middle gets tons of light and the sides a medium amount of light. so one must plan accordingly.

Great review. I have the 6g version of the Edge and I'm thinking of upgrading the lighting with the 12 gallon LED replacement arm. Do you think the light will be too bright on the 6g? I'd like to keep the tank low-tech with low to medium light plants. Thanks!

Great review. I love my fluval edge and chi! However, I have the same exact complaints. I would love to be able to put the lights on a timer, feed them more easily and have more room for the water evaporation. Hopefully they take this all into consideration when planning a newer model.
