a slideshow tribute to my $300 1992 buick park avenue
this car was awesome it rode great, the interior was awesome and it was tough as hell. we never took it easy on this car and it never broke.....well until we went off the road at 45mph (that story is below, scroll down)
august 26, 2008......the buick died
me and my friends were coming home from burger king one day and since the inspection was expired we decided to take a dirt road home because the cops were swarming thru town that day, we thought it would be a good idea...but it wasnt, we were going about 45mph down the dirt road when we see a deer. my friend dan who was driving swerves around the deer but since the car was low on gas when he swerved it stalled and we had no more steering or brakes since the car has power steering and brakes. since we had no more steering or brakes we went off the road into the woods at 45mph. luckily we only hit small trees that the buick could just plow thru. but the road is raised about 5 ft from the ditch and when we landed we landed on a big tree that had already fallen down and when that happened the radiator and core support were destroyed and the subframe got bent. so we called another friend to come pull us out before the cops showed up and drove it back to my house. but the buick kept running fine even tho it didnt have a radiator anymore so we decided we'd go beat on it one last time....bad idea. we knew of a set of train tracks that you could jump if your vehicle had enough ground clearance so we thought we'd try it turns out the buick didnt have enough ground clearance so when we tried to jump it it just ripped off all the skid plates and ripped up the wooden beams of the train tracks but by this time the buick started to blow out smoke because it was running so hot (280+degrees). we had two options drive it back thru town and get pulled over for sure or we could take a backroad home that was around 14 miles long. we chose the back road about 1/4 of the way down the road it started stalling if we let it cool down we could start it again and go for a couple more miles. about 5-6 miles from home it died again and we tried to restart it but it wouldnt. we waited and waited and waited but no matter how cool the engine was it wouldnt start(it was running so hot the radiator ends started to melt). and finally at around 8 o clock some people in a nissan titan drove by and offered us a ride back into town one of my friends went with them to pick up his truck and tow the old buick home. we finally got it back to my house around 9 o clock. the buick was officialy dead. it sucked because everyone who ever rode in the buick had a good time and it was actually a really nice car to ride in. so here are some pics showing the damage (it doesnt really look that bad but the whole front of the car was bent up about 3 inches from were it should be)
WHAT a buick dies?

This is what happens to nice cars with owners who don't appreciate them.

@sexysagi nice cars? i paid $300 for this thing and the subframe was rotted out when i bought it and it had no exhaust after the catalytic convertor, how poor and stupid do you have to be to consider this nice?
