Yay, my first history video! Inspired by the "Greatest (insert nationality here)" contests that different countries held a few years back, I thought it was time we paid tribute to ten of the thousands of Chinese who've marked their places in history as well. No, you won't agree with all of my choices, and you may not even feel that this is a fair list, but isn't that what makes history fun?

Music Used - 茉莉花 (Jasmine Flowers), a Chinese folk song from the Qing Dynasty

FAQ: Why didn't you select any Chinese from recent history?
Since China's history stretches over multiple millenniums, the full impact of its historical figures cannot be measured in mere decades. Therefore, it is unfair to judge anyone from the modern era until more time passes.

  • also i =under stand why Yao and shun are not on the list but the Yellow emporor theres over 500000 people in china who calim decent from him and as tthe forefather of the Huxia people

  • @RSNCICREO, as I said at the start, the number of people who could've ended up here is too high to count. You'll have your choices and I'll have mine. Also don't forget one of my key conditions: if there's too much doubt about a person's existence, he/she was kept off.

  • great, we got two shemale. one kills all his brothers.

  • @bg24955, what in the world are you talking about?

  • After studying Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language (in which it involved some cultural studies too), I felt Confucianism is basically East Asian culture. I wasn't surprised to see Confucius at the #1 spot.

  • @bigfatdick5000, I was set on Jasmine Flowers as the song of choice for this video right from the beginning and would not stray from it. As I've told you already, if you're dissatisfied, make your own video. You're never going to convince anyone else to share the exact same preference for music as you do.

Ok, the part about not using modern Chinese historical figures is justified, if their impacts are too soon to be validated. But still not the Kenny G part, it's too corny, put "Kitaro - heaven and earth" or something like that. I criticized in caps because your low quality production reinforced some sort of *stereotypes* about Chinese, if you know what I mean. but then i don't blame you, maybe we are diff types of Chinese to begin with...

  • @bigfatdick5000, you know, instead of wasting time criticizing me in caps, you could spend that time making your own video the way you want it made. As for why I used Kenny G? It's the best version of Jasmine Flowers that I could find online at the time. All the others were video recordings with poor sound quality.
