I was working in radio in Boston back then. The "word" around the radio stations was that their record company sent them to New Orleans to records their third album with Allan Toussaint's involvement after the second album had disappointing sales. I've always wondered if this song (on the 4th album) was about him.

Toussaint had a reputation of rescuing groups with disappointing 2nd albums

Little Feat in this era, with Lowell firmly in control, have to be the best band of all time. No contest. Bought Dixie Chicken the week it was released in the uk - changed my life.
