NOTE: I didn't censor the faces in this video. I searched the internet for a couple hours, trying to find photos of fallen soldiers returning home, to show why we celebrate Memorial Day. The censored photos were censored by the US Government, after they released these photos due to the Freedom of Information Act . I did not take these pictures.
Please do not thank me, thank our military service members who are currently serving our country and protecting our freedoms, and especially those who have fallen. Today is Memorial Day, today we honor those who gave their lives for our country
We love you, we thank you, and we miss you

My cousin Jeff was a Navy seal he made it home but shortly after lost his battle to Cancer.

@nevadagunslinger - Unfortunately I believe the ad comes from Youtube, not the poster. If you spend just 15 minutes looking at different ads, you will see the same ones pop up on several videos.

Mike, this is a great video. I was searching for something to link on my Facebook page for Memorial Day. I love the bagpipes playing Amazing Grace. It's so haunting, and moving. Unfortunately, you lost me when it started with a commercial. So, suffice it to say, that it's a great vid, but somethings shouldn't be commercialized.

everytime I see the missing man formation it just brings tears to my eyes.
Growing up on an airforce base, I always saw it at the airshows. It wasn't until I was around 8 or 9 years old, that my dad explained the symbolism of the plane that breaks off and flies towards the sky, and the planes that continue to fly on.
He said "the plane that flies into the clouds represents the parents and siblings who went to war, and didn't come back...."
It's still such an emotional thing to see in person
