Campaigners across the world today (Thursday 15th March) mark one year of violence in Syria by calling on Russia to back UN Security Council action to end the crisis.

From Indonesia to Eygpt, UK to South Africa, Canada to Brazil, activists and celebrities will stand in solidarity with all those still engaged in non-violent protest in Syria. They will call on the international community to UNITE FOR SYRIA and STOP ONE YEAR OF BLOODSHED.

The Syrian National Council has now been recognized as the only legitimate body representing the Syrian people. They are a group of expatriachs from all religious and ethnic factions of Syria opposing this brutal dictatorial regime. I don't know where you read in the International Press that Syria would become a hard line Muslim country. But this is not the message in the U.S. media that I see. The Syrian opposition wanst a democracy for all, not an authoritarian reglious state.

Are the muslims of chechnia (near russia) are attacking Russia for supporting Israel? Are the Muslims of the Sudan are attacking its citizens because of their support to Israel? And what about the Syrian citizens? are they sending aid to Israel and therefor being attacked by their on country?
