  • I don't see any insecurity here. Only a short exposition on a philosophy and a short reply to it. Nothing more.

Craig is impressive, even after, or better only after, you have actually thought about what he says. Which arguments you find unreasonable? Why? Has any of his reputable opponents demolished them during a debate (where there is a possibility of rebuttal)?

If neither Oprah nor christianity is true, what is? What is your philosophy? Why do you beliefe it? Why is it more reasonable?

  • @GJONBUNJAN ...William Lance Craig hey? Sounds impressive... Until you actually think about anything he says.

WLC is a cunning debater, but quite frankly I'd take Oprah anyday. He only serves to convince his fans.

Regardless, I'm not saying Oprahs right...I'm laughing at the embarrassing insecurity displayed in this video.

  • If what Oprah is true, then surely christianity is false. But if christianity is true, then Oprah's religion is false. So which one is true? The reasons for christianity a defended by the christian apologists; I can list many fine scolars who give these reasons, but one name is enough: William Lance Craig (look for his debates on Youtube). Istead what grounds do we have for believing the truth of Oprah's "religious relativism" or "religious pluralism" or "universalism"? Why think it is true?

  • @GJONBUNJAN " Because if what the christianas say is true, that is if the Bible is true "

    - What if what Oprah is saying were true? How about instead of worrying about Oprah, they worry about whether they actually have got anything with any truth value? They seem keen to to tell us what we need to know about where Oprah's wrong... what about what we need to know about their nonsense?

  • Yes, I guess that they are afraid that she will draw people oway from what they say. But can't it be the case that this means that they are afraid she will draw people away from truth? Because if what the christianas say is true, that is if the Bible is true, then this is what is happening.

  • "you are the truth the way and the life"? that's almost like "do what thou wilt" if not worst. Something promoted by the occultist/satanist Aleister Crowley. Oprah directly opposing Christ by saying and promoting this is akin to an antichrist, she had better change her mind for the people she's leading to damnation's sake...

  • I'm speechless

  • I think that you all are being too deep. Simply put, Oprah is an icon... and people have allowed her to be an influential idol... is this her fault no, we are responsible for our own actions. She however, does not provide a clear understanding of her beliefs, she acknowledges God and Jesus from time to time as any other worldly person would do and I don't see anyone harping on them... so why Oprah?

  • @Pdrum2 ....OK, let me spell it out for you.

It's amazing that Oprah has made such an impact that these two intellectual giants feel the need to try and undermine her. They're obviously worried that Oprahs brand of BS will draw people from theirs.

  • @Roper122 ergh, maybe you should be more clear.
