  • just an fyi from a strongman but the roll up to the shoulder should not be done by the bicep muscles and hands underneath. The hands should be over the top of the stone and you should use more of a high pull and the back muscular.

  • Thanks for the info!... proper form definitely needs to be perfected which will improve time and overall performance. Good tip.

  • Wow mad respect, you have to be really focused and to this because you can crush your toes and everyone knows that is no fun.

  • @Tinsletooth your lower back is more involved during the stone lift so it looks that way its not like a deadlift you have to extend to get a grip under the stone

  • Im not trying to be a hater or a dick or anything I really like the idea of the work out and I would love to get a bolder myself but in the video it looks like you are lifting with your back a little bit to much if anyone disagrees please explain to me.

  • if anybody in the tri state new york area, i custom make strongman atlas stones in diameters of 10 inches up to 20 inches and weighing in at 40lbs up to 400lbs. i can be found on craigslist. just type in atlas stones on the new york hudson valley page.

  • youtube shows crossfit developing its own lifts for lighter balls like these. I'm using kettlebell style with the one I made. I got sore meat between foot and hand bones the first few times, and the added stabilizing work is great.

  • Why are you guys doing it on a sidewalk?

  • 01:24 was hilarious: OMG lemme hurrah up out of here. Anyway, I may take on a project of making a stone. The gents in this video seem to be getting a very intense workout, and their physiques are pretty ripped.
