@ramonster2500 - to destroy planet? you dont know what you are talking. All the nuclear weapons, and all explosives ever made are dwarfed when compared to the most energetic volcano eruption in history (240 gigatons of TNT) which itself is dwarfed by the energy released form impactor that created Chicxulub crater (96 teratons of TNT), and even that wasnt even close to seriously threaten the planet (except it was an extinction event ).

ATOMIC BOMBS ARE A VERY BAD THING! thats why we have treaties against them and we have disarmed many. people think the next world war will be nukes flying everywhere, but most countries dont have nukes, they have nuclear potential, but not nukes. over 1000 nukes were tested in the cold war, if that did not destroy the planet, we have a ways to go. and if the enemy has nukes, im gonna want some to protect myself with too.

Shit doesn't matter anymore, today Russia and America have enough nukes to flatten the whole damn planet, even if there was to be a nuclear war over the world the result would be a planet to irradiated to survive in. If the governments of the world really gave a shit about protecting us(people of the world) they would have dropped guns and sent the nukes to space already, only words and peaceful actions can save this shithole we've made, aka earth.
