As a liberal who knows the Second Amendment is intended only for the militia to defend against invasions and insurrections, much gratitude goes to William Kostric for providing an example of how nutty and dangerous the far right is when it goes around spouting off ideas about how guns protect our liberties when they're used to threaten and attack public officials. Google "Georgia Militia" to see who agreed that it's time to "water the tree" and set about trying to do it.

So, "public safety" can be used, whimsically, in dictator fashion, to usurp the law at any time and any place *as it pleases the chief*? This is like MINI MARTIAL LAW. "Today, we decide that you have no right to carry that gun legally even though the citizens of this state voted and ruled that such a freedom is what they wanted and the risks inherent in that freedom, they were willing to tolerate.

Give me a break! Someone should get sued for violating his Constitutional rights.

@woogie88888 - I fully agree. We should not treat the police as enemies and vice-versa. This has always been a government scheme to separate us from our public servants into castes for caste warfare. If we reject this notiion and instead remain civil and work together within the law we can return to a society that, above all, recognizes the liberty and freedom of the INDIVIDUAL.

Not all public servants are as respectful as this officer was, and as bad as this sounds, I wonder if he would have been respectful had the cameras not been turned on him..

Love it.-I was threatened to be shot while being seen with my legal firearm at a grocery store. I sued and won. Open carry is legal in many places and be cool. You will win.
