Senator Warner was a good senator. Being a respectful, and solid landing, his leaving hopefully will not allow more capricious or other minded folks to be of overly strong influence.

I am democrat from VA and John Warner was a very good senator. One of the few republicans I liked. However he is still a Republican and Virginia is slowly turn blue. You got Tim Kaine and Sen. Jim Webb. Warner's seat will be taken by ex. Gov. Mark Warner! This is his for the taking. I never thought I see a day where VA had two Democratic Senators!
