Official Ravine Flyer II POV

Ravine Flyer II is a Gravity Group woodie that was added to Waldameer in 2008. Waldameer is in Erie Pennsylvania.

Ravine Flyer II is one of the best wooden coaster ever built, and my favourite from the Gravity Group. It's extremely fast with lots of airtime. It even crosses over a bridge over a 4 lane highway.

I filmed this POV using a GoPro HD Hero for the park. The camera was mounted low down on the front chasis to help give a sense of the speed.

The only downside is the blinding glare upon exiting the tunnels.

@xtremespeed128 Yeah it's a pain the auto exposure takes a few seconds to adjust to the large shift in brightness. Tough call on setting it to manual and finding a compromise of under exposing the tunnels, or over exposing the rest of the ride. Think the auto exposure comes out best, even taking into account the brief glare.

Was good seeing your version Marcus...nice and steady, and you managed to avoid too much raindrops on the lens, unlike me! Fortunately I got a rain-free ride later, which I posted on Youtube a couple of weeks ago.
