  • i would say buying a used saw is good and bad. if it was an older guy who used it to cut up one tree that fell then thats a good used saw. If its a landscape or tree company saw, odds are it was broken in correctly but more than likely it was ran hard, i know we do

  • also to mauipalman screw off and have a good day because our husky 576 and 372 xp's kick ass so im not sure what homeowner you were talking about, suck it thank you :-)

  • yea i dont know why i was doing that either. i knew if i only did a verbal and start up review somebody would have said to do a running video so, for elderberry99 i like the husky 455 much better its much more balanced

  • would you recomend getting a used one? Also do you know a good place to find a good used one. Thanx

  • Nice saw although I don't understand why people feel the need to move the saw back and forth all the time. Let the saw do the work, its much easier that way.

  • I have Been looking at Chainsaws for about a Month now and i Started out looking at saw in the $250 Range that were 34cc and Some how i Ended up Buying the Same saw the 455 Rancher not Sure how i went from 34cc to 55cc but for $200 more i think its well worth it.

Now i am Just waiting for the Equipment Place i Bought it from to get it in Stock............

  • I see you also have the Stihl MS290. Which do you like more, the Husky 455 Rancher or the Stihl MS290?

I have the Stihl MS290 and love it but it is very heavy for trimming and am thinking of buying a second saw for trimming.

  • could that chain be any duller too?
