A short shot of a 40 mm twin mount Bofors antiaircraft AA deck gun on the ship. It took several men to operate this weapon. "Bofors" is the name of the company that manufactured the gun.

  • any one else see the blood?

  • The 40mm bofors is one of the greatest of all modern weapons. It works well, and HAS worked well for 60 years.

The M42 Duster AA tank used a twin 40 mount kind of like this one. It wound up being used more for anti-infantry in Vietnam, and it was just as good or better at that than it was at AA.

  • During WW2, Chrysler Corporation mass produced the Bofors 40 mm gun for the Allied forces.

  • Bofors is Swedish, both sides in ww2 used their weapons :D

  • Hey, that's in Buffalo, NY. Awesome.
