Detention of immigrant children in a former medium-security prison in Texas leads to controversy when three activist attorneys discover troubling conditions at the facility. This compelling film explores the role - and limits - of community activism, and considers how American rights and values apply to the least powerful among us.

  • I suppose we should just let anyone & everyone come to the country.

We can have a big feast & celebration and join hands while we sing.

At the end of the party, we'll hand out gift bags with cash, green cards & welfare applications.

Screw these people. At some point people are going to have to deal with the reality - we can't support everyone nor do we owe anyone anything.

There's methods to follow if you want to enter the country.

Break the law & suffer the consequences.

  • thank god my kids are American Citizens

  • how can we afford not too?

  • I feel sorry for the children, but it is their parents that put them in this position to begin with. With so many Americans out of work, losing their homes, living in tents and going hungry, how can we afford to take on others from other countries coming in here illegally?

  • I actually worked at this facility for 3 yrs as both an officer and then in the medical dept. I can tell you that I was the one who personally made the prenatal and pediatrician appts. for the residents there. I was sick a lot and would have to wake days at a time for an appt but if one of the immigrants would get sick they were seen the same day and if it was something that we couldn't take care of, I would make an off-site appt. for them. They had the best medical care. Thanks
