What if Peter Davison stayed until the New Series?

I had this idea a while ago, and when I saw Davison's credit in the Children in Need special, I finally got around to do it.

I know its not very likely that Davison would have stayed that long, but he was my favourite classic series Doctor, and I think some of the new series episodes would have been fantastic if it was Davison and not Eccleston or Tennant.

You know, as much as I adore Tom Baker and David Tennant both, and all the rest of them to one degree or another (Colin Baker being high on my list as a very underrated Doctor), when it comes to it Peter Davison may be my favourite of all time. Nice idea :~D

One way it could have happened is if they'd ended the original show on The Five Doctors (perfect resting point for the show actually- perfect 20 year mark, and perfect closing line "why not, after all that's how it all started"), and then when they revived the show in the 1996 TV Movie and then in 2005, they'd decided to bring back Davison since he was still the current incumbent whenh the show went off air- indeed the Americans probably would have kept him for his British heart-throb appeal.

Yea Peter Davisom was a great Doctor haven't seen much of him though but I do love him just wish he stayed abit londer even though The Caves of Androzani was a amazing story and by the way that episode Dalek by Robert Shearman THATS MY FAVORITE DR WHO STORY EVER!

I like the idea of bringing Davison back as the doctor...could be fun having another "older" doctor again. Actually not just fun; I think it could be really good for the series.
