Listen, the British equivalent of the Grammys is the BRIT Awards, where Radiohead have NEVER WON ANYTHING, EVER. The BRIT Awards is the biggest steaming pile of shit of an awards show on the face of the earth.
Its true that it took until OK Computer for them to find success in America, but the last four albums AND The Eraser have all debuted in the Billboard Top 3 so I really don't see where you're drawing the conclusion that they are "unsuccessful" in America.
I think you're drawing some odd conclusions from my original remarks. All I said was they hadn't won anything significant in the US because it's not the sort of music which wins awards. The same in Britiain - I never excluded the UK from the analysis, so why you are turning this into a nationality thing I don't know. Lets leave it.
Right, never mind that they performed on the last Grammys, or that In Rainbows, Kid A, and OK Computer all won "Best Alternative Album" at the Grammys, or that Hail To The Theif, Amnesiac, and the Airbag/How Am I Driving? EP were all nominated.
Best alternative is not the same as wining the grammys is it? Plus, I was talking more about him and his album than radiohead. The eraser was nominated too for the grammys, but didn't win. Again, a huge difference between nomination and winning.
