Well ive had mini a year now, may30th08-09
So heres a little video of some of our times together.
I honestly adore this horse, so much. Ive never met a horse like mini.
Before i had her i hated mares, didnt understand them, because i was so used to my geldings.
So buying mini was a risk.
When she arrived she walked off that lorry and walked straight into the feild, nothing had fased her even though she was young. I was amazed and really looking forward to spending time with her.
But then things changed.
She started rearing up at me whenever i went near her, she wouldnt be lead in hand without rearing up at me, she wouldnt stand still for me to tack her up and would run off when i tried putting her bridle on. She was so big to me, i had no control over her, she scared me.
And then the all time low, she refused to load. This hurt me, i was so looking forward to having a horse that i could go out and compete on, do lots of things with and enjoy, but right then i hated her.
People kept telling me that she wasnt the horse for me, that i should sell her before i loose my confidence. but i wasnt going to let her ruin my confidence, ohh no, something needed to be done, so i stuck with it.
Then i started conquering her. The rearing stopped, the bombing off with me when i was trying to tack her up stopped, and then i moved her to a quieter yard with my trainer.
Then something huge happened, i began to love her. Slowly we began to trust each other and everything fell into place :)
Now one year on i couldnt be more happy with this mare. I love her soo much and we got through every problem we faced. she now does everything i want her too without any problems, she comes to call, she loads, she stands still and i couldnt be happier. She is the sweetest horse ive ever met, she just loves attention. She still has her days, but shes a horse, and alot of people watching this video wont be able to imagine how far we've come but we have.

well im not in pony club anymore :(
but i might join again? dunno if i have to do 3 rallies again cos im joining with a different horse or not to beable to go to camp tho?
