A panel discussion that was part of "Spirit in the World: The Dynamics of Pentecostal Growth and Experience," held October 7, 2006.

Presented by the John Templeton Foundation and the USC Center for Religion and Civic Culture, this international symposium examines the global Pentecostal movement.

Kimon H. Sargeant, vice president of human sciences at the John Templeton Foundation, moderates.

Panelists were:

Allan Anderson, professor of global Pentecostal studies, director of the Centre for Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies, and director of the University of Birmingham's Taught Postgraduate Programmes Graduate Institute for Theology & Religion

Peter Berger, professor emeritus of religion, sociology and theology, and director of the Institute for the Study of Economic Culture at Boston University

Anthea Butler, assistant professor of religion at the University of Rochester

Ogbu Kalu, Henry Winters Luce Professor of World Christianity and Mission at McCormick Theological Seminary

David Martin of the London School of Economics and Political Science
