yeah i definitely see where you're coming from on that one and i'll agree the fans that put down other fans SOLELY because the former's known the band longer than the latter i don't accept that it's when the latter talks about loving the band then i get a little iffy no you don't love the band you haven't heard them enough you love that specific song that you're talking about (this is if they've only heard one or two of the band's songs)

Yeah, that's fine, I respect your opinion on that. I just hate it when people get this elitest attitude about it. Like, how does being aware of a band's existence longer than someone else make someone a better person? Especially when they don't know how much the new fan has listened to and are just generalizing. And what's so bad about only liking a few songs from a band, but not being hooked enough to be filled with this zealous holier-than-thou mindset? I'm calling it the Hipster Paradigm.

Well some people (myself included) just hate it when people go "oh god i love this band i've known them forever" when all they really know is "that one song from that one movie" or they say "how do you know this band? you don't know anything" even though they've heard only the band's most famous single and the person they're questioning has heard 5 of the bands full albums
