Images from York Youth Theatre's production of Shakespeare's "Pericles" which ran in the Theatre Royal's main house from the sixteenth to the eighteenth of May 2009. Anyone even passingly familiar with this play knows that plot summaries are futile. Kings commit incest, princes travel, citizens starve, fishermen assist, knights battle, wives die, sorcerers cast spells, wives spring back to life, assassins fail, pirates kidnap and prostitutes rejoice... Here are storms and shipwrecks, temples and brothels, swordfights and necromancy, ghostly voices and fires from heaven. In short, a great entertainment and another triumph for York Youth Theatre!
