My fellow pilot Frans and I flew from our home base Teuge in the Netherlands, to Vodochody Airport, just north of Prague in Czech Republic.
The hotel arranged a taxi for us, and the driver parked his vehicle very close to our aircraft so it was easy to transfer our luggage. That sure made us feel like VIP's! ;-)
We had the rest of the afternoon, evening and the next day to explore Prague and headed back for Teuge on the third day. We were not so lucky then, because we had to divert to Meschede in Germany and stay grounded there for a few hours due to thunderstorms and heavy showers. However, the friendly lady of the airfield's restaurant made us two lovely pasta dishes, so that made us feel a lot better!
I also wish to thank Vodochody Airport for the excellent service we experienced there. Just before we started the plane, they even brought two bottles of water to us. Now, that is what we call service!!!
