It was a tea kettle dude.
I saw it. He was probably sipping on some hot water with lemon in it to keep his throat clear. You need that sort of drink to sing like Cedric does. As for the book... I have no idea. Crazy, awesome night though. That's for sure.

Also, does anyone know what is in Cedric's constantly replenished steaming mug on the table to the right of the stage? The device that his "assistant" was dispensing it from was billowing what looked like dry ice, but Cedric was sipping from the aforementioned mug.
Also, at the end of this clip he flips through a book on the same table... anyone know the significance of that? He was constantly flipping throughout the show to seemingly random pages.
