thanks dude! mostly i use my ears but it's great to see and learn specific techniques as one day you might come to a point you really need indepth info on certain subjects. currently i'm getting more into vocal recording projects so all this is quite helpful

Thanks for replying; question i'm into for now voice overs movie trailers any thing vocal how do i get that 3d sound; i'm runnig my vocals through the avalon with eq before compression but still have not quite got that 3d sound i'm looking for ;can you help

@sullihcra I'm not quite sure what you mean by 3d sound...but that big sound can come from many things: doubling the vocal (recording it a second time), being closer to the mic (increases low end, if desirable), etc.
