I am restoring my MkII scirocco as we speak and have every intention to push it at the ring when it's done.
Right now it is a wreck; it has run over 300K in the last 24 years.
I have stripped it bear and will be replacing the engine for a revised one soon.
I will install a custom excaust, fast camshaft and hope to install a Merc. SLK 200 compressor (instead of a G60).
As far as HP goes it will be more than enough, the scirocco needs the torque more than the HP.

Passing the SkyLine or GTR was cool, got me interested after you couldny pass the 1960 Russian Tractor for the first minute. Then the Elise, it went down hill from there though, Astra, CRV.......Very cool McMiserable, Very Very envious.
