The Republicans want to spend money on certain programs, while the democrats want to spend money on different ones. They fight about this, or so it would seem, but in the end they are each drastically increasing the size of government, and the control they have over our lives.

Contrary to popular belief, there IS a difference between the 2 parties. In the northeast, Republicans are more moderate to liberal than anywhere else in the country. This is unfortunate, but northeastern Republicans are just that way. They may be fiscally conservative (at least more so than the DemoMarxists), but are more often than not socially liberal. Scott Brown ran being fiscally conservative and I just hope he is a man of his word. Only time will tell.
