  • I am planning on start making short films...I have about a 1500 budget, and I need as professional as possible....what do you suggest?

  • If you check cnet dot com they've got a really good camcorder review section. You can check to see what you can afford in your budget. Make sure to get a shotgun microphone as well, those aren't much more than $30 on eBay. Not amazing but better than not having a mic!

  • I still use miniDV and it looks 10x better than this digital crap. And with firewire, downloading off of a miniDV camera is as easy a plugging it in to a computer. I highly support miniDV. Its cheap, easy to use, and you don't have to worry about a hard drive or SD card crashing,

  • Wtf? Mini-dv is better for digital editing than Hard drive cameras. mini-dv got better quality but only have one hour per tape.

  • Thhats a piece of crap....and for the person who wants to know what camera to use for his film...choose the 5d mark ll or the canon xf305...both are amazing

  • hey what do you recommend for converting videos (for free and is safe to download) so i can edit them? because i have tried several converters that have all been crap

  • I want to make a film, but I don't want to shot with "real" film, cause my budget is limited. I would like to use an HDCam, I would even pay 6000$. That's not the problem. My problem is that I am looking for a camera with such a high quality that the audience won't see any difference to those the big studios use. Which camera would you approve? Thank you for helping me.

  • @frisbeehousepiper Agreed but its soon gonna be harder to get a hold of a MiniDV camcorder. Beside the professional ones.

  • its SANYO

  • I use miniDV 2 Its just the best

  • mine is an aiptek video/camera and once again $85 and has a voice-recorder an mp3 player and can also take pictures next to making 180 minute videos!

  • what cam is it?
