These shots were taken on my last morning in India. It was 6am, the Sun had just risen, the air was cool and crisp, and it was very calm. This was the pilot's 4th day of flying, having never flown before. A tribute to DJI. The CX4 looks fabulous and flies very well indeed. Highly recommended.
Sorry about the jitters on the close up shots. I was hand holding a 450mm lens. All footage shot on Sony Alpha A77 at 1920x1080 50P.

  • superbbbbb thumbs up

  • @poerik Thank you. :-)

  • This is really nice! I love the airframe and and stability of the aircraft. I would like to build my own, but I'm more interested in aerial photography with videography as an added bonus. What are the flight times with your setup? Does it have GPS hold?

  • @ALTN8NRG Flight times are around 6 to 8 minutes. Yes it has GPS hold, although the GPS didn't work at all well here in NZ. In India it worked fine.

  • How did you buy? Where to buy? I'm interested.

    Thank you

  • @nomade12345 I bought the CX4 airframe direct from Droidworx in Nelson, NZ. Bought the Wookong from Photohigher in Wellington, NZ. It was built at Photohigher in Wellington, then I spent a week fine tuning and testing it.

  • good video , best looking quad chopper out there

  • @NZVideoGuy Thanks for the quick reply, now I have a clearer idea of the set up im after. I was thinking about using Hyperion 25A ESC's + Hyperion 4 cell 5000mAh with the AXI 2214/17 motors - Relocating the batteries seems like a sensible idea too. Thanks again

  • @slypsi Thanks for your comments. We're using AXI 2214/17 motors, Graupner Elektro 10x5 props, ZTW 20Amp ESCs and 4 cell 4,500mAh LiPo batteries. We mount the LiPo battery underneath (as you see in the video) as we found mounting batteries inside the body was time consuming swapping them after each flight.
