  • Michael: First of all, your tutorials are top notch--detailed and comprehensive. Thanks so much for sharing and teaching us. One question: Why capo 3? The Achtung Baby album version sounds like standard tuning/no capo with an opening E barre chord on the 7th & 9th frets.

  • @Decoy67:

Good question. I didn't check all versions. Just went by Slane (one of my favorites for this song). See the video I put together on my channel page (the promo video). In Slane and in the It Might Get Loud deleted scene, Edge has the capo on third fret. I tuned the guitar to Eb I think. Dont remember now. Perhaps likes the frets closer together for the verse?

  • @U2GuitarTutorials No, I'm pretty sure you're in E. My guitar is, anyway, and it sounds fine with yours.

  • Michael, your videos are awesome. I just picked up a new Les Paul Custom (Black with Silver) yesterday and this was the first song that I had to play. The guitar is amazing. Your video on the arpeggios was exactly what I needed so thank you. I think you are selling me on the Ax-FX. If you do not work for them you should be getting some form of renumeration for the sell job you are doing on all of us U2 and The Edge nuts. Seriously.

  • Great videos, but you need to ditch or severely shorten the intro. Just show a quick title; 30 seconds of titles and theme song is too much. Keep up the great work!

  • Outstanding!!!!!
