Experience the amazing true story of Dina Gottliebova Babbitt, an artist who survived two years at Auschwitz by painting portraits for the infamous Dr. Josef Mengele. This faithful adaptation of the six-page comic created by the David S. Wyman Institute For Holocaust Studies combines illustrations by Neal Adams, motion graphics, and music to bring the story to life. Introduction by comic book legend Stan Lee.

    Israeli doctors experimented on children

A leading Israeli doctor and medical ethicist has called for the prosecution of doctors responsible for thousands of unauthorised and often illegal experiments on small children and geriatric and psychiatric patients in Israeli hospitals.

  • My name is David Beckman I am an Independent Film Producer/Writer/Creator. My specialty is doing holocaust documentary/films. My first one called White Rose Black Rose which will coming out next month. Sept 2011. I am now starting my second holocaust documentary film. It is called The Twin Survivors from Auschwitz Tell Their Stories. This one will be filmed here in the states, Toronto Canada, and Israel. I never use archival footage/photos for my documentary/films.This has been many times.

  • After watching this I got interested in the Holocaust for some reason

  • @shdwsclan2 I'm not even gng to answer 1 bc its absurd

but for 2-The auschwitz museum director claimed as well. 50 of the top attorneys in the world disputed this claim in 2007 calling it "preposterous and offensive. Mengele is a war criminal. he does not deserve to enjoy the fruits of his crimes. Mrs Babbit was coerced on pain of death to paint these portraits. She did not voluntarily enter into any business relationship with Mengele. He cannot be regarded as a patron who commissioned artwork"

  • thank you disneyeducation im doing a project on dina and this is realy helping me alot. :) thaks

  • thank you so much for this video... i ave to do a report on her and this really helped alot!

  • shdwsclan2 is wrong. Dina was ordered to paint or she and her mother would die. She could not found guilty of being a war criminal because of that. She and her mother were prisoners in a death camp. It was her painting that kept her alive. What a strong spirit she had. So brave, so talented and so tormented by what she was forced to endure. She could have had a great life as an artist, free of the Nazis, free to decide her own life's path. At least she left this legacy of art..

  • omg that was wicked touching and very interesting.

  • i saw this in my school about a week ago

  • The irony of this video, is that is was posted the day before her death. I researched her as part of an English project, and have since fallen in love with her dedication and perseverance toward her cause. This is the only source that made me cry (and made me want to send my condolences because she could never regain the paintings, and thus, her heart).
