My musical saw has teeth and everything, so yes. The same sort of thing, just a slightly different material with better acoustic qualities, although you could use a carpentry saw if you wanted.
It'll either be Cello or Double Bass, as they work best, and there are some tip handles available for purchase, although they aren't too hard to make.
I am buying a 30ins 2 octave saw and have seen a number of different blade tip holders. Could you please tell me if they are available for purchase, or do you have yours made to your own design. Also are you using a violin, viola or cello bow. Thanks. Steve

This is my mom and I believe she is playing the Stradivarius for this piece.I don't think that this one would work well for cutting wood though. She also has one made out of copper with a rhinestone encrusted handle
