This is my Gibson Sonex Deluxe. The neck on it has been replace with a low end maple neck due to the fact the other one was snapped off and lost around 24 years ago... i got the body with the pick-ups off my Grampa who bought it back in the 80's i just got finished refurbishing it.. i sanded it down from the original color "Cherry Red" to the natural wood it self. I also took off the in my opinion the stupid pick guard which took away from its beauty. This video is of my friend jammin out on it on a Fender "blues" tube amp..

this video was taken on my Iphone g3s ... so sorry if you find its a "poor quality" sound

  • That doesn't look like a Sonex 180 Deluxe. I have one and those guitars have a wood core where the neck attaches to the body, but the rest is a synthetic material, so it would be impossible to take it down to the wood. Also, Sonex 180 Deluxe guitars have a huge open cavity when you take the pickguard off.

I suppose this could be a Sonex Artist, or another Gibson model.

  • sounds great...thought these had some sort of weird resonwood body or sumin?

  • sounds fuckin solid!
