Binghamton University students from Ben Gerdes course, Cinema 380G: Experimental Collaboration Workshop in Digital Photography have worked on a semester-long group project documenting issues surrounding incarceration and re-entry into society. This video footage contains portions of interviews conducted throughout the semester, specifically those from the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Albany at the Drop the Rock Campaign on Advocacy Day and the Broome County Council of Churches. The class will present a finalized project at Binghamtons First Friday on May 7, 2010, composed of video interviews and photography. The course is the first of its kind at Binghamton University, but will not be offered in the fall. Video footage was compiled by the students of the cinema class and was edited by Raymond Moore.
