dubai's beaches are safe ... for now . no they're not . its fake . who pays to dredge up sand to fill in the erosion ? and ten years from now ? " 1/3 of the world has been snapped up " . this is a lie . no one wants it . no one is buying . those islands are bare and are being washed back into the sea . if some idiot is handing money over to engineers and dredgers , they are more than happy to take it . they know it will fail but they just want the money . I would take it too .

Now I would love to see what are they going to build for the people who live in proverty in UAE and across the world. What about medical centers, schools, and etc. This is all good, I love to see countries prosper but don't forget about the poor. God stated in his word he will continue to bless them with wealth if they don't forget about the poor, broken hearted, elderly, weak, children, the lonely, women, etc.

So let the already once 500,000 people living there suffer once the oil runs out? They are trying to build an economy that does not need oil since they expect their oil to run out in 2016.
It's not selfish, it's survival. You tell any City, "Your main economy is going to run out" I'll bet all the money I have that they will find an alternate resource.
