Help me find out whats wrong with my Honda gen. Carb has been cleaned twice and even switched with another identical eu2000i so Its more than likely an electrical component failure, but which part? I only hope its not the inverter, those cost around 5-6 hundred for part only. BTW this is my first Youtube video upload.

  • I took the covers off and looked at it more closely, on the back of the inverter, one of two capacitors (?) is clearly damaged. The inverter is one unit with all the electronics set in a protective resin that prevents any access to individual components, which means no possibility of replacing the capacitor only.

  • I found out what the problem is, just what I hoped that it would not be. The inverter needs to be replaced, that part runs from 425 to 600 dollars.

  • Bummer. I took a closer look and it seems my inverter was slightly disconnected. Sorry about your machine, what made it fry the board? If you want to sell the machine as-is let me know.

  • Are you sure? Did a shop diagnose this? Mine is doing exactly the same thing. Bummer!

  • its prob a relay
