A Chief Inspector of Police was killed after heavily armed militia men overran a GSU camp along the Kenya-Ethiopia border. Police spokesman Erick Kiraithe confirmed that an unknown number of Merille militia men from Ethiopia staged the raid at the Todonyang GSU post in Turkana. The raiders are said to have made away with several guns and ammunition before crossing back into Ethiopia. The Merrille of Ethiopia and the Turkana have had a long standing difference over pasture and water at the common border. Andrew Ochieng reports.

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkk wishig them the best, why they don't joint UG peacekeeping forces, that's the time they wil build morale

  • The defence council recomended Kenya quell the Al-shabab fever once and for all. A "Zulu" alert was issued. Soldiers were deployed to the border, tanks, APC's and all. The Navy and Air Force were put on standby. Morale was high, Kenya would be kicking al-shabab's ass. Then suddenly some politician realised for him to be president in 2012, he'd need the Somali votes! The army was recalled back to the barracks, now who would you blame in that case?

  • very true , they r usually vry fast at responding to quelling home insurrections,

  • niko na wewe hapa na hapa bro.... who is not ready to sacrifice in defence of the republic? its just that you are trained to do that I am not period!!! Which Republic are you protecting/defending when rag -tag militia raid and kill Kenyans everyday across our borders?..Nyinyi yu can hide behind an inefficient C in C..ati amri ni kubwa kuliko ...aliye itoa... get trained ...earn money...eat ...drink.. fuck... flog a few fellow Kenyans.. retire ..eat pension ..DIE! • "ama you people are waiting for a new constitution also to solve your barracks/military ineptitude?" The Military is not a political party and as such it's business is not conducted like a political party. Call it ineptitude, call it anything you will but the fact remains that thousands of men and women are ready to sacrifice their lives in defence of the republic IF CALLED UPON. by the way why don't you be the dictator you feel this nation deserves? i'd be glad to serve under you.

  • "sasa Siyu313 yu guys will be impotent till how long?" I just gave you a solution up there. As for a revolt that won't happen in Kenya. As appealing as the idea sounds i assure you it is not a viable option in the long run. The west Africans waste no time, agreed, but look at how messy their countries are. When you discover the shortcut of coups you stop being patient. a simple matter that can be resolved peacefully will now necessitate a coup. carefull what you wish for.

  • sasa Siyu313 yu guys will be impotent till how long?..when told to go out to the streets na kuchapa wakenya wenzenu you do it with speed and vigour..... REVOLT ama you people are waiting for a new constitution also to solve your barracks/military ineptitude?...West African waste no time..to TRANSFORM KENYA WE NEED A DICTATOR FOR 10 YEARS HIVI... A NO NONSENSE LEADER ACHAPE CORRUPT , LAZY AND LAY-ABOUTS........ SEE WHAT MUSEVENI/KAGAME HAVE ACHIEVED!!

  • i like tht answer

  • One thing Kenyans do not understand is that the Military has to act on orders from their C-in-C to raid a neighbouring country or even to simply deploy outside the barracks. If the president is ineffective, the military becomes useless; if the prezzo's effective, the military becomes your worst nightmare. BLAME THE PRESIDENT NOT THE ARMY! How i wish you people were in a barracks right now and heard how soldiers are bitter about the deaths of their two comrades in Nadapal!
