Yes. It sounds similar. That what you fear is the engulfment, but really there is nothing to fear. The main fear is engulfment of death of course

funny when you say 'half' the picture. I see insight of PROCESS of polar reality as WHOLE of the dynamic.
That there CAN be the extremes but even they can then change. In fact they will

I think Buddhism shies away from the term 'evil' because most people AREN'T aware that polar reality is only half the picture. Most Western religions go out of their way to paint reality as a war between absolute Good and absolute Evil. You already see beyond that.
ah see? Delusion is sort of like accumulating conflicts of interest then right? Rather then accepting them and making peace with it. That's where my words were sloppy I think. From Buddhist lessons I've heard they would say embracing conflict makes us diluted by afflictive emotions. When we can accept what is then the lessons start to come. Very hard topic to get at...

Fascinating video zencat! And thanks for the video response.
I always wanted to know the origins of the 3 monkeys, so it's good you let me know.
I have questions: Well when i say 'evil' i am not meaning absolute evil, because i am aware of polar reality.
However, IF you try and do away with the term, why not 'good' also?
Why is Buddhism afraid OF that term which is describing sadistic desire to hurt?
When you talk about seeing naked reality, well

2 i can dig that. When i take sacred medicine i see reality direct. I refuse to believe a 'buddha' ONLY can see this.
And i often imagine how i would feel seeing the horror i describe in evil when eg bemushroomed.

Well my friend, if you're really seeing reality directly, than you ARE a buddha, lol! At least when the medicine's working properly... and you might be surprised how you would feel about watching that-- you might feel great compassion. "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do."

It's interesting that there is also a kind of Buddhist therapy I've heard of where you 'allow' (visualize) your 'abuser' to swallow you completely! Same kind of technique that you're mentioning here regarding psychedelic therapy...
