I've used a hoe kinda like that hook and crooke one you're sportin. I found it in my grandpa's barn when trying to help him keep his garden weed free years ago. They are slick tools. I have been looking for one ever since, looks like my search is over.

@webcajun if you remove the dirt does that make them grow to a normal size oinion.. Cause when we tryed to grow sweet red onions the only grew to the size of golf balls if that???
