I flat ironed my locks on a very low setting and they came out great. Me an my loctician discussed ahead of time. Low heat and heat protectant will reduce damage. I only recommend doing this 1 time every month or more. Just wanted to share!

  • Wow! That looks really good! And I can't believe that is with a Low-Heat setting, its like bone-straight!

  • @curlynugrowth Thank you! Yea i didn't want to use to much heat, but I have a softer hair texture so it didn't take much to get them this way.

  • They look great...I can't wait to get my money together and finally get it done

  • @jst2knd Hey best of luck, I hope you get to start your journey soon

  • @bamllih Hey thanks bro! I decided to try it and it came out good and showed more of my length. Yours are tight man and very neat. Keep it up man! I might iron mine again in the future but not for awhile.

  • i thought that if u would do that to locs it would damage your hair but hey it looks good..your highlights look good too dont iron heat it too much thou but take care 1:)

  • How's your mom coming on her loc journey?

  • You're locks look good, but be careful about flat ironing them (even on a low setting) because the shaft can thin out and become weakened in the long run. Damage isn't seen until later on, especially with the parts that have been dyed.

  • Wow I can really see the difference in the length...good job bro! check out my page I'm only about 9 months in...

  • @hgriffin1207 With brotherlocks being thinner locks, flat ironing allows the heat to penetrate the lock and cause it to in a sense relax. What I mean is that locks usually draw up and don't show actual length so the flat iron shows the locks full lenth as it kinda appears when it's wet. Look at my previous video from about a week ago and you'll see what I mean.
